Alejandro has dedicated his life to teaching Spanish with excellence. His academic background and decades of leadership turned Casa de Lengua into one of Ecuador’s most respected schools. Personable, friendly and passionate about language education, you’ll find him in Quito or traveling with students across Ecuador.
What makes a great Spanish school team in Ecuador? We believe it’s our staff of University-educated native-speakers! With years of professional and life experience, our teachers are University graduates specializing in Spanish language studies and/or Latin American literature. Casa de Lengua can also guarantee you won’t just learn Spanish, but the broader social and cultural picture around you!
Lucía is a superb teacher who loves exchanging knowledge with her students about Ecuador and their home countries. She’s been with Casa de Lengua for over 15 years and is admired for her dedication and warmth.
Mariana has been with us since 1994. She quickly identifies weak points in students’ Spanish and finds innovative, enjoyable ways to improve them. She also travels with students on our programs to the Amazon and Galapagos.
Javier is about to celebrate his 20th anniversary with Casa de Lengua. With degrees in Education and Journalism, he is one of our Traveling Classroom teachers and enjoys Latin American art and history.
Valeria has been with Casa de Lengua since 1998. She holds a Social Science degree and enjoys cooking, football, dancing and reading. She especially loves traveling and knows the Galapagos Islands inside out.
Gabriela is Casa de Lengua’s multi-talented advisor – with degrees in Education and Tourism, and currently studying IT! She runs our Traveling Classroom program and supports students with dedication and enthusiasm.
Rosa, our volunteer coordinator, has over 25 years of experience with NGOs and knows everything about volunteering in Ecuador. She is kind, approachable and passionate about helping others.
Hernán is the good-hearted soul of the school, always taking care of everyone and everything. Staff and students alike know they can rely on him to solve any problem.
Mateo is our team’s reliable driver and logistics coordinator. He helps students discover Ecuador safely, always making sure they reach their destinations with a smile.
